If you are struggling to afford food or essentials, support is available. Reaching out for help can feel difficult, but you are not alone. Perth and Kinross Foodbank provides emergency food alongside compassionate, person-centred support in a safe, welcoming and non-judgemental environment. Whatever has brought you here, you will be treated with dignity, empathy and respect.

How Do I Access Support?

Perth and Kinross Foodbank is a referral-based service. This helps ensure people are connected into a wider network of practical and holistic support, recognising that food insecurity is rarely just about food. We receive referrals from partners across Perth and Kinross including: GP practices and Health Visitors Schools and colleges Community groups Third sector organisations Statutory partners Welfare services Local support organisations Accessing a referral does not need to be difficult.
The quickest route is often contacting the Perth & Kinross Council Welfare Fund Team, although you may also choose to speak with organisations such as Citizens Advice Bureau. When appropriate, staff may explore cash-first support options, grants and wider financial assistance before discussing a foodbank referral. Because the foodbank is a lifeline, not the solution. Together with trusted partners across Perth and Kinross, we share the same ambition:

No-one faces crisis alone.
